Rufin VanRullen received the 2007 European Young Investigator (Euryi) Award. This award, initiated in 2002 by the heads of European Research Councils to recognize and promote excellence in
European research across disciplines, is granted to the most promising young researchers. In 2007, Rufin VanRullen 20 projects have been funded across all scientific areas.
Rufin VanRullen’s project "Perceptual and attentional dynamics : Periodic operations of the brain" focuses on the as yet poorly understood periodic, non-stationary mechanisms involved in visual information processing.
Rufin VanRullen’s productive research was also rewarded in 2007 by médaille de bronze du CNRS.
